Orphaned refugees; embarrassing mothers; supernatural pets; Afghan pop idols and misfits. Exploring issues as diverse as autism, friendship and loneliness, coming of age and democracy, Discovery is the cutting edge of youth film programming.
Spanning multiple genres from anime to black comedy, Discovery, Scotland’s International Film Festival, ambitiously embraces the broadest definition of a young audience of three to 21 years.

Realtime Worlds Founder and Creator of APB to Address Attendees
Dundee 10th October 2008: Dave Jones, one of the most influential people in the history of gaming, has today been confirmed to speak at the inaugural NEoN Digital Arts Festival, which will take place across the city of Dundee Friday 13th to Sunday 15th of November.
Dave has driven the success of Scotland’s flourishing games industry, having co-founded DMA Design, which would be later renamed as Rockstar North, creator of the best-selling and universally acclaimed Grand Theft Auto series. In 2002, he formed Realtime Worlds that scored a major hit with its original title Crackdown that has enjoyed incredible success on Xbox 360. His team’s latest title, the massively multiplayer online action game APB looks set to revolutionise the way we play online when it launches next year. Read the rest of this entry »

Presenting a selection of new and adapted works in response to this year’s Venice Biennale, this group show acts as a representation of the artist’s individual discoveries and experiences whilst invigilating for Scotland at this year’s Biennale. Missing link in puzzling exhibition, Counter Logic, which gets more perplexing as time goes on with a mysterious artist and stretchy lycra spanning the gallery.
When the curators of the exhibitions decided to name it Counter Logic because of the selected works’ references to puzzles, they could not have predicted the conundrum they face in the last days before the exhibition is due to open its doors to the public at Cooper Gallery, Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design.
