Awright baw bags, I popped by the Westie to see Madman with Lee tonight and once again they played a fucking ace set.
The singer is arguably the friendliest guy in hardcore (well, apart from Ron Jeremy
) and to be honest, I don't know how a person so small in size can squack and scream like a banshee on steroids. I can't wait to play with them at Revolt.
Dead Sky Blue were from Ohio and with a guitarist who looked like Davey Havok and a bassist who looked like Russell Crowe at a pie convention, they had to be unusual. Plus the fact that they had a gay keyboard player and all of them were actually stupidly talented (finger warm ups with jazz basslines and all sorts of professional buggery)
They came on and played at a speed which I can only describe as FUCKING FAST.
Ive got their vinyl (see thru blue <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> very sexual) so if anyone wants to hear it, send me an email.
To sum them up, imagine MANOWAR, IRON MAIDEN, EMPEROR, CRADLE OF FILTH & RADIOHEAD all wearing suits of armour and writing songs together for a Legend of Zelda film. that's them.
