People take their own music in and I show them how to play it. That way they will get better over time, they arent bored, and they learn how to keep meter.
The more advanced people come in and we will go over transitions or techniques.
I believe that reading music out of books should'nt come until AFTER the person learning has gotten an ear and timing for music.
If you still have any confusions, just drop in another line.

Reading music is only good for studio recording for bands you do not belong in or for quick communication between musicians.
