it's only textbook if you want it to be. + the way you say "have to buy each other things" suggests a half arsed attempt at getting them something they might like. which is a bit unfortunate for people that feel that wasy about it. i got my boy ash tickets (he fucking loves ash + doesn't know they're playing) + i'm making him a mix cd too, nothing to do with commercial shite, just thoughtful really. but i think it's a nice idea + i don't care if everyone else is doing it too, i just see it as yet another excuse to really treat my boy. and before anyone starts - CARD COMPANIES DID NOT MAKE IT UP, IT'S A ROMAN FESTIVAL. but yeah, i like valentines day.
