do you not realise that you have heard of these people because they were the ones to survive?. you don't know how successful the bands of today are going to be in the future. madonna's very first single was a flop. some people back in 1983 must have thought that she would never make it.

were you around in the fifties or sixities or seventies to hear the mass of chart music then? there have always have been and are always going to be bands that get signed, release a single or two or an album and then seemingly drop off the face of the earth. what about Billy Ray Cyrus, Shampoo, Whigfield? all at the start of the nineties, nothing much happened there did it? and that was a continuation of a pattern.

tastes change, fashions come and go, things seem less special after a while. and that has happened for years and years.
