Prank phone calls

someone keeps calling me and hanging up as soon as I answer. This has been happening about once a week for about a year now, but it led me to think... it's a pretty uninventive way to piss someone off.

When I was younger, we went through a phase of making prank phone calls to random people in the phone book. At three in the morning. We'd mic up the phone so we could all hear what was being said. Our friend Chris was the person with the most guts to do the talking

Man: (groggily) Hello?
Chris: Hello, yes, I was just wondering... what are you doing up at this time?
Man: what? oh.. fucking bastards! (Hangs up)

Woman: Hello?
Chris: Hello, I think I love you.
Woman: What?
Chris: That song... 'wild thing, i think i love you' Do you remember it?
Woman: Oh, yeah I remember that!

(after a few minutes of idle chit-chat)

Chris: Look, we're really sorry for bothering you at this time. You've been so polite
Woman: It's okay, I actually had to get up anyway. If you hadn't called, i'd have probably slept in!

On another occasion (which i wasn't present at), Smith (of Goldbloom fame) called up the makers of party rings with a problem

Smith: Hello... yes, I have a problem. You see, some friends and I were larking about and I appear to have gotton a party ring stuck on my finger... and I can't get it off....

I think they also called up Jaffa Cakes to ask if it was a biscuit or a cake... can't remember the outcome of that one though.
