it might not be kids pranking actually cos I had that problem for a while but it turns out to be stupid telesales people, they have automated machines that dial and most times, someone has picked up before you picke up your phone so of course you get hung up on.
you can call someone to take you off the list, I did that and haven't gotten any calls like that since
