i dont know about anyone else but i fair enjoyed the heats i went to and played, met great folk, enjoyed great music and enjoyed playing to a new crowd who hadnae heard us.
everyone in my band payed £10 each (£40),i got bass string that cost somthing like £20,then drum sticks,+2 sets of guitar strings-that goes over £40!
didnt pay the sound guy, didnt pay anything apart from the folk behind the bar for booze!
And as for it would be better with a panal of judges judging- no no no no no! nothing but conspirisy theorys are dreamed up!
crowd vote-unless your blind you can see whos gona win it.

Man, as I said in my post i totaly enjoyed the gig. But while we were on the subject I thought I'd give my opinion, thats what all this is about, isn't it.
I still think a panel of judges would be better for the fact that bands would be judged on musical ability, stage pressence, that kinda thing. You'd see even tighter competition that way I think. Conspirisy theories are dreamed up any way you look at it, conspirisy theories have been thought up about the voting system they have now, I'd just prefer a panel of judges, i see more pros than cons with that method.
