I took my telecaster in to get it's MOT, the guy said it would probably be about £60, because he would have to sand down the frets as they were worn, there was a part missing and I needed the grounding fixed. Went back last week and was told the whole guitar would need to be refretted because of the wear, and because it has a maple neck, it would cost £180!

The guitar's worth about £500, so I've been thinking about buying a new guitar(paying it off in installments), and getting my one refretted when I've got more cash.

ANYWAY I was also wondering how much it would cost to get a new neck for my tele instead?
