NARCOSIS, BLACK SUN, SNOWBLOOD, BLACKENED HEART SYNDROME : SAT 12TH FEB @ 13th Note

ALL ABOUT THE RIFFS PRESENTS ANOTHER EVENING OF MADNESS.............

SATURDAY 12TH February @ 13th Note, King Street, Glasgow

NARCOSIS

Wigan's finest return to scotland to head their own bill following their recent destruction of their more commmercial contemporaries on the Pig Destroyer tour. Extreme destruction that never lets up; insane grind with occasional sludge parts. Reminiscent of Discordance Axis in that the riffs are total tech but keep the rawness and brutality that bands like Dillinger would just love to be able to put across. Fans of early earache stuff will think they have stepped back in time to when grind was good. Grind for the musically minded.

BLACK SUN

Black sun play slow and heavy sludge with an experimental edge. They like to keep their shows interesting by changing their set (and line up) constantly but keep the core members and heavy riffs continuous. Expect massive Melvins style drumming and huge guitars. "YOU WON'T LIKE IT" in their own words.

SNOWBLOOD

Epic melancholy, which passes from storms of sludge to the calm of post rock. Contrasts of ambience and brutality, the miserable and the uplifiting. Have been compared to Neurosis, Eyehategod, Godflesh, and Mogwai whilst being called doom, hardcore, emo, prog rock, and sludgecore. None of those labels really fit.

BLACKENED HEART SYNDROME

Heavy hardcore from Manchester. Grind and fast hardcore parts giving way to Converge style metal breakdowns. Their overall sound owes lots to Catharsis or Rorschach as they play raw hardcore while pumping out the metal.
