LCD SOUNDSYSTEM-UH! Yass! Twas at the Venue. Went with Marc (MisterMarc) and we danced and danced and danced!
The DJ's that played before, between and after the 2 bands that were on were not too shabby, they certainly got the crowd going.
Hot Chip were brilliant! Having not heard any of their recorded stuff before I was well impressed. Really fun and dancey which is always a good thing. I'll have to investigate their recorded stuff, apparently it's not as good as the live show though...According to Marc.
Then! Eep! LCD Soundsystem came on and they made us all dance like people who have no control over their bodies! Marc and I were right at the front dancing like maniacs at the feet of James Murphy who is podgier than I thought and sweats all over the place. The band were just awesome! The drummer - woah - he just kept going and made it danceably great. Nancy Wang needs to be involved more. She never broke a sweat and was the epitome of cool on the stage. There were 2 bassists which just made it uberly brilliant, one of them did change to guitar every so often. One of them had to run off the stage just before they played 'Yeah' to go and spew which was very funny hehe
I had to buy a t-shirt after the awesome show they put on. I didn't think it'd be possible for them to be THAT great live but they were TOTALLY AMAZING. Everyone who likes them should go and see them and dance as much as me and Marc did last night. Wow.
