I guess the trick really is to keep breathing, and remember that all behaviour traits run on a continuum.
In other words, for instance, there are certain mixtures and severities of personality traits that only when together will indicate an overall behaviour type.
ach, sorry, trying to describe this without being long-winded!!
for example, for someone to be diagnosed with, say, autism, they need to test positive for a certain minimum number of personality traits/behaviours, and for them all to be a certain severity on the spectrum of that trait.
the spectrum goes from "not at all" to "maximum".
ugh, does that make sense?!
