Just a quick one - *nudge wink*
The guy out of Roxette (Per Gessle) is an absolute hero here. His solo efforts are the staple listening of most Swedes.
More music trivialities - I've just been in the hometown of Ace of Base, which is a nice claim to fame.
Did you know that Sweden's state schools give the equivalent and more than likely superior standard of our private music tuition free?
That explains such quality acts as the The Cardigans, The Wannadies, Stina Nordenstam etc. (said in all seriousness by they way...). There's also a mad punk band called Attentat from Gothenburg who are crazy nuts.
Just don't mention ABBA - they don't like it one bit.
