This what I do, but I just dont seem to be able to get any more speed, and I find the momentum into fills really difficult.
What about other people? How do they do a simple, fast punk beat? Im sure I hear people out there doing something like Jazz with a single then a double stroke of the hi-hat.....

I do both, but only learned the 2nd one (with double bass) fairly recently-

I'm gonna start putting that in songs because I think it sounds better than quarter note hi-hats. I'm still picking up speed in that and trying to get stick control perfect before I start using it though.
Can some find an audio of half-time shuffle? I learned this years ago but have totally forgotten it.
