When I was little I could eat the hottest stuff without batting an eyelid... Now a mild chilli has my eyes streaming...
Once I made Kung Pao chicken, and you had to fry off dried chillis. There must have been a misprint or something in the book cos when I put the chilli in the pan, the fumes that came off were so noxious that everyone had to evacuate the kitchen, it was impossible to go in for a few minutes. Fuck bio terrorism when you have dried chilli....
