I agree that the possibility of developing the technology to allow humans to live on another planet in the future is very high, however I can't see how it will actually ever happen given the practicalities of it all.
So far we haven't found another planet with the right atmosphere for us, so it would need to be an enclosed environment, which is high risk as so many things could go wrong. Never mind the logistics of building something so large and detailed, and making sure there will never be one crack in the structure which could affect the air pressure and levels of gases with fatal consequences.
If we discover another planet with an atmosphere the same as ours then that changes everything, but personally I doubt that we will.
