*IMPORTANT* - Rumours....
Despite rumours to the contrary circulated by people who should know better The A Forest have not embarked upon a new musical direction under the stewardship of Rick Rubin.
Speculation was rife that The A Forest had recorded a funk-rock-rap crossover extravaganza reminiscent of the Rubin's legendary Aerosmith/Run DMC collaboration.
The internet rumour suggested that the hitherto experimental lo-fi tunesmiths had ditched their shamble-core approach and adopted a new uncompromising sound. Featuring a guest vocal from Dundee's own Uncle Fritz and some brutal riff-mongering from Dino Cazeres (Fear Factory/Brujeria), the new track also was allegedly given the "five-star-funk" treatment by Rubin. The middle eight featured a blistering solo from guitarist Ewan Morrison which was perfectly harmonised by the new-look Mike "Shredder" Lambert.
The source, who prefers to remain anonymous, claimed that drummer Chris "Styx" Marr performed the take of his life on this track, playing the oddest time signatures ever put to tape.
Eilidh and Cat, the female contingent of the band, it was claimed adopted a Nashville Pussy-style image and their suggestive moans throughout the track left nothing to the imagination.
Bassist George "Fornby" Burton allegedly rocked the mike and put everyone's ass in check.
The band would like to reassure fans that this sick fantasy must have been dreamt up by someone who went drinking in the afternoon and then found himself with time on his hands and access to the internet - a dangerous coming together of circumstance if ever there was one.
