The first time my parents allowed me to go to the Cafe Club when I was 17, I had to be home by midnight which somewhat defeated the purpose ...

When I was underage, I was always convinced that I would be found out and sent home in a police car, so I behaved myself even more than I normally would have anyway.
I think that's the difference - many of the underagers I've seen at Cage/Entropy have not only *looked* very young but have been acting like morons and/or sluts. I'd point them out to Neil or Doug but I'd end up seeming like a bitter old spoilsport (which, incidentally, I am).

Me too, but it *always* gets an audience. It's sort of like the myspace thread where everyone's laughing at the desperate attention-seeking going on there and then commenting "but I would, wouldn't you?".

Much as I dislike that way of thinking, the only people I've encountered at Cage whose behaviour has ever seemed threatening or worrying to me as opposed to just plain stupid or irritating have been people who didn't look as if they 'fitted in'. Late licence nights seemed to be the worst as if there were people there who knew they weren't going to enjoy the music but couldn't get in anywhere else at that time of night.
