I see were he's coming from in the sense that the guys ain't picking their image. It's far to generic and similar for them to be. bands need to be themselfs. The label that my band the Dirty Wee Middens have just agreed to sign with, had reservations about our name but once we held our ground and put across just what the name is and what it means and it's all good. I don't think some bands are like this in the sense they'd sell they soul and image for a quick buck and a magazine artical.
What i also liked was what he wrote about labels stuffing all the un-original bands in the studio. Did anyone notice that once frans ferdinand went huge there was a huge surge of copycat bands with the same image and style within months of that?
