I disagree - i think its totally up to the bands to provide equipment. The most i would expect from the promoter is a list of contact details for the other bands so i could contact them regarding backline. If i couldnt get in touch with anyone about it, i sure as hell wouldnt turn up with nothing.

I was at the doghouse the other night (not to actually see the band, but to visit a friend who was promoting), and those "stupid little dirty wee teenage minky cunts" or whatever the band is called were late going on stage becasue they had to borrow guitar leads. Thats a fucking disgrace.
