when we'r playing i'll always check what i need to brign adn what will already be there that we'r allowed to use. but on the other hand when im putting gigs on i will always initially plan to bring all required gear and if a band wants to bring something for general use then great, one less thing to clutter up the stage!
as for venues, that is a fuckin pisser! a gig is a gig and especially bands from out of town who havent played a venue before then they can at least give it a try!
lending guitars isnt a probelm if its for a good reason. if someone just doesnt bring one then they can fuck off - YOU CANNAE BE GIGGIN IF YOU DONT HAVE A GUITAR SORTED!
