if you haven’t already been down to the bastille then what a surprise we have in store for you! it’s a cool french influenced venue right in the centre of town 2mins from either central / queen street station or st enoch underground.

kk.null was born in tokyo in the 60’s. he’s one of the top names in japanese noise music and in a larger context, one of the great cult artists in experimental music since the early 80's. in the early 90's he gained world-wide recognition for his peel-approved band zeni geva with their extremely heavy sound, releasing five albums produced by steve albini (two on jello biafra's alternative tentacles label) before collaborating for many years with merzbow.

all the while, kk.null has worked on his solo career and collaborated with other musical innovators such as z'ev, chris watson, daniel menche, keiji haino, seiichi yamamoto, jon rose, bill horist, philip samartzis, alexei borisov, zbigniew karkowski, james plotkin, jim o'rourke, fred frith, john zorn and has been invited to perform at international festivals such as "sonar" in barcelona (spain), "beyond innocence" in kobe (japan), "all tomorrow's parties uk" and more.

industrial music pioneer z’ev is primarily known for bringing non-traditional percussive voicings to the ’70s new york city avant-garde scene. with an uncanny ability to fuse the shockingly abrasive with the breathtakingly panoramic, z’ev’s work is both intimidating and sublime. his studies in collage began under the tutelage of joseph byrd / united states of america leader – an auspicious beginning. since then he's explored 'spatial poetics' in athletic yet graceful live performances that utilise colossal metallic sheets, giant coil springs, interconnected pipes and other found materials culled from the junkyards of the globe. his dozens of collaborative projects include work with brian eno, john cage, glenn branca, hafler trio, psychic tv, and rhythm & noise. he has released on touch, staalplatt, soleilmoon and tzadik amongst many.
