it vary's alot more that you think, i'm on tour doing sound for a band at the moment, if i had stuck with the same eq settings on every desk i used it wouldn't have sounded the same, every PA and room are totally different. If you tried the eq settings you suggested on a decent quality desk you would know what i mean.
