you're totally wrong, cymbals dont break if you hit them right. learn to hit the drums hard and the cymbals light, thats what good drummers do. (sounds better as well). Usually the problem is cheapo cymbals that you really need to whack to get a sound out of, if you spend alot of money on good cymbals you learn QUICKLY.

That said, i'm a drummer, and i break cymbals from time to time, guess i need to improve.
