i think its fair enough getting paid nothing if you get the chance to play with a touring band.

even if you get a support slot with a HUGE touring band the most you'll probably see is 50 quid.

local bands should get nothing at these sorts of gigs. Or if the promoter does well a little bit of petrol money. Don't get arsey if you play with a touring band and you don't get paid, touring bands need food, petrol, place to stay.......... that costs, it costs nothing to jam your gear in a car and nip down the road to the westie or the doghouse.

(this post has nothing to do with beat generator gigs)
