I've had a wee read over what I've said throughout this thread and I can't really find anywhere that suggests I've got upset or overly worked up about what yourself or anyone else is saying, so there's no need for you to apologise.
But cheers for explaining what you meant in your previous post, I can now really see where you're coming from. Having had a bit of a think about what you've been saying I don't necessarily disagree with you either, it's just that i feel we're approaching his statement from different perspectives: I'm looking at what he said and you're looking at why he said it.
Carlos Mencia's comments themselves got me worked up, upset and concerned, not what anyone else has subsequently said about them. Due to my own personal views about the situation I think what he said was bang out of order and I don't think you contest that regardless of what his motives were.
What saddens me even more is the response that he recieved. I can't possibly imagine anyone in Britain or Spain (remember the Madrid bombings) reacting in such a way despite similar attacks although of course perhaps I'm wrong. I've said it before; it saddens me that Americans have this childish oneupmanship attitude about these things.
In conclusion, apologies if I appeared to get overly pissed off at bikerboy or anyone else in this thread, calling you an eejit though not intended to cause offence (eejit being a fairly inoffensive word over here comparable to "silly billy") was probably out of order in retrospect.
I hope I've clarified stuff and if not I'll keep my opinions to myself in future.
