for home recording you'll be pushed to get a decent sound out of that laney, i'd recommend getting a low wattage valve combo, you can get some insane sounds out of them with the right pedal,

dont be put off by the low wattage, some of these things sound huge.

don't buy anything solid state or you'll just be disappointed.
