very nice wee amp, pretty loud, when running through a 412 its loud! I got mine for £200 secondhand with the stock peavey valves, when need-be, ill replace them with some JJ's (the current production Tesla's essentailly)
In my experience (which is extensive may i add) a 15 watt valve amplifier has the body, presence and perceived volume to swamp anything up to 70 or 80 watts solid state, as long as the same speaker enclosure is used for both to give a fair comparison (if such a thing exists!)
In my possession currently is a 60 watt EL34 based valve amplifier. i have heard this amplifier at three quarters volume through a 2x12 BURY a marshall 275 watt valvestate through a 4x12 set at full chat. Thats over four times the wattage, but the perceived volume was much higher from the lower powered valve amp. My knowledge doesn't stretch as far with bass amplification i must add...
