Well I did read it properly, the fault lies with mrlizzard who didn't know that the laney was a valve amp.
He's obviously a bit elitist anyways therefore obscuring his judgement:

I can't afford to spend £500+ on an amp, so i was looking at cheaper alternatives hence the laney.
Anyways I've come to the conclusion i'm either gonna get the epiphone valve junior and get it some decent tubes or spend a bit more and get a 6 watt fender champ.
