Back a few years ago when i was actively playing in a terrible band i regularly visited many music forums that were locally based and bursting with bands and people putting on gigs doing gig swaps etc all the time it was how we got most of our gigs, now when i visit some of them they are totally dead and most bands seem to have ditched any sort of website for a solitary myspace page, once on myspace it just seems as most peoples friends are full of random folk and people who arent even fans or friends. Maybe im feeling old or maybe im right but i know when im on myspace i am useless at communicating with others through it unlike using forums and other such mediums.

Anyway my point is do you think myspace is slowly killing of forums like these?
