I'm with Shepherd's just now, I moved in back in october. From october to december we didn't have any hot water, apart from the shower cos that's electric, needless to say it got rather frustrating. I went and told them and the guy didn't turn up to fix it.
In december our cooker completely died meaning we were left with just the microwave. I reported it, and the hot water
again, and our crazy toilet that randomly started flooding one day. To give them their dues, they did get someone out for the toilet within a day or two, no-one ever phoned about the water so I asked the toilet man to fix the water, which he did in about 3 minutes. My flatmate hassled them about the cooker and she was told there was was no record of the complaint. Funny, considering I reported two other things at the same time and they managed to get someone to fix them.
Anyways, to cut it short, our cooker got fixed over a month after it broke so I decided to ask them for a reduction in rent. They said that the actual landlord wanted to discuss it with her husband which is fair enough but everytime I go in to see about it, they give me some shitey excuse and 'we'll get in contact with you'. I'm sure they will.

I wonder if I demand that they phone her while I'm standing there would finally get us a response?
