The main thing is the mac hardware and software is designed hand in hand. One supports the other. I could install Ubuntu on this MacBook if I wanted to but Tiger is a really stable UNIX based OS so I don't really need another one!

Also there aren't really very many music applications for Linux.

If I ever owned another PC I'd definitely put Ubuntu on it.
