My girlfriend had a few people like that in her class at school and one at uni. I went to college with a few people who were like that as well.

Lynn (aformentioned girlfriend) was told because she was born out wedlock she was therefore destined to live a sinful life and was most probably going to hell. Lovely stuff to be told when your 12 eh! Re: people not reading the bible - If she had read the bible properly she would see that no amount of praying and following His word will make a difference if you get into heaven or not! Islam says the same thing. Let others do and believe what they want; God will sort everyone out in the end anyway.

My Dad's side of the family are protestant and I once went out with a girl who was catholic (she wasn't a very good catholic!) and from both sides I heard a lot of shite which I was too polite to question. Mainly from the catholic side as my grandparents don't talk of religion too much!
