Are you suggesting that we should tolerate something if it is clearly
wrong? Do you tolerate people who think that being a racist is ok (incidentally the religious books of the world are chock full of racist, sexism and raging homophobia)? If someone believed that you were evil and deserved to die because you had a certain hair cut would you tolerate that?
I don't think any rational, secular human being should tolerate vile hate preaching religions with origins in the infancy of our species, no matter how 'cuddly' and 'acceptable' those religions try to make themselves appear.
