But you wouldn't have been able to say that if you had been studying the atom and quantum physics years ago. Has science stood still now? No.
And much is still unexplainable in those areas.
The fact that the majority of the universe we can't actually observe, and are still learning about how everything relates to each other on a sub-atomic level, including time, and we don't actually know how many dimensions there are, shows how much we still have to even observe, yet alone explain.
Thus, to discount something completely is a bit daft.
