I have no time for Dawkins' militant atheism. His delivery is, to me, really offensive, and it reminds me of Emerson's methods of delivering the idea of Transcendentalism to the masses; in a nutshell, I find his finger-pointing exceptionally patronising. Perhaps Dawkins' targets would pay more attention if he didn't come across as such an obtuse arsehole.
I don't know if he's already been mentioned, but
Lawrence Krauss does a better job of delivering his opinions without sounding like a total fuckwit. Their angles are slightly different, given that Krauss doesn't vehemently attack religion, but rather places his emphasis on contrasting the differences between religion and science to strengthen his audience's enthusiasm for learning science.
