aye, thats not what i meant.

Apologies if im not reading this correctly or something, half asleep and have a bad cold!

I meant say, if there was a new 360 released with an HD-DVD drive, and the next gears of war was made and sold on an HD-DVD disc, then all of the current 360 owners who don't have an HD-DVD drive in there console wouldn't be able to play it.

And this would surely mean most developers wouldn't bother with HD DVD 360 games? Unless they made 2 versions, one on HD disc formats and another inferior one on DVD.

again im probably wrong, humandislocation will know better!
