I have to admit, he made me chuckle. I agree he really should have been more remorseful and made a heck of a lot more effort but I thought the reporter became unprofessional. Whether he deserved it or not, she should have tried to embarrass him on TV. Maybe he picked up that she was being patronising and trying to make a fool of him so used it for a bit of a joke. "Get me to do it"... she even took him seriously, lol.
Again, I agree that given what he's done he should have been a LOT more apologetic but you could tell straight away that "nagging him" on tv was never gonna work. Oh and he was starting to apologise when she got into the glasses saga. Okay it was a shite attempt but he was obviously hungover and wasn't sure what to say.
BTW he could have been wearing the glasses to cover up his eyes
