This is true to a certain extent. But I don't think you can say that it was 100% her choice to go into the business, when she started so young doing the Disney Club. Her parents must have had a huge say in that aspect of the start of her career.
That said, with her 16 year old sister now pregnant, and her starting from a similar career launch pad there must be something that runs in the family.
Christina Aguilera, and Justin Timberlake seem to have turned out not too bad compared to Britney, and they've all pretty much followed the same paths.
I don't know what it is that makes her act in the way she does. Partly I think it's the press, partly I think she maybe has really lost the plot (Michael Jackson anyone?). But there comes a time where she should be left alone to give her time to think about what she's doing, because she's clearly not doing that at the moment.
