Here's the most painful one for me to put up -
Superman Wallpaper, live at Solihull Sixth Form College as part of the 'College Bands' event, late 1990. This was my
first ever gig, I was 17, and thought I was Miles Hunt of The Wonder Stuff.
The stage was set up seemingly by morons who'd put the amps
behind the drums and had supplied nothing but a tangle of wires at the front. Still, it's no excuse for how utterly terrible we were!!
Listen out for -
Toe curlingly embarrassing between song 'banter' from myself in a frankly weird accent!
Huge gaps between the songs as the four of us try to work out why we can't hear anything!
My guitar going out of tune as the first chord is struck!
Three terrible cover versions!
One less than great original!
A host called Yost (who was a pompous twat)!
Constant crackle from the cables that practically carpeted the stage!
A drummer who was barely competent!
Being cut short by the organisers before the song we knew best!
Superman Wallpaper -
me- voice and guitar
Nick Wall - guitar and backing vocals
Phil Newman - bass
Simon 'Bish' Bishop - drums
FACT: I was wearing shorts, a Ned's Atomic Dustbin t-shirt and a baseball cap - STYLISH!

(No VIRB for this one, if you want to hear it you've got to work out how to use Megaupload)
