Seriously, there really isn't that much between them.
On paper, the PS3 is a lot more powerful, but "on paper" means fuck all. The PS3 has more cores, but game engines are very very hard to write, such that they make the most advantage of multiple processors. The amount of speedup you get from running a program in parallel on multiple processors, is bottlenecked by the amount of code that has to run in series, and game engines are a type of program, where a lot of the subsystems are interdependent on data from the other.
My understanding is that some of the cores also need to have data fed to them in a particular way, in order to get the most out of them, but take that with a pinch of salt, as I've never coded for PS3.
Yeah, blueray is an advantage, but it's not that much of an advantage when you consider that most games will probably come out for both platforms, since games are very expensive to make nowadays, and limiting your audience by releasing on one platform only. Some games might use it for PS3 exclusive content, or more detailed assets.
