The unfortunate thing is you bring ridicule only on yourself by failing to accept criticism. Your behaviour seems much akin to what some would call a "ned" - immediatly assuming people think the worst of you and responding violently for no reason. It is for this reason that people may be "stand off-ish" with you, or choose to attempt to bait you into a response.
