I think both old firm teams are particularly bad for drunken louts in their fanbase. It's the inherent rivalrly between those two teams that I think attracts those of a violent disposition. This often spills out to other football fans.

I'm not saying that other teams don't have violent fans but Rangers and Celtic will always be attractive teams for those simply spoiling for a fight.

edit: I feel I should use an example here. I went to high school in Glenrothes and most of the kids from there would support Raith Rovers or, like myself, suport the Edinburgh or Dundee teams because that's where their parents came from. However, it was common for kids to pick an old firm team to support purely for the purpose of getting into arguments/fights. Im sure my high school wasn't unique in this?
