All the stuff you need to know:

Dead by Dawn 2004 will run from Thursday 22 April until the usual closing time of very late on Sunday 25th.

All-inclusive Passes priced £40 will go on sale from Filmhouse from 1st February. You can call Filmhouse box office any day after 12 noon on 0131 228 2688.

Shaun Hutson will be our Special Guest for the weekend, and Stuart Gordon has accepted the invitation to attend, but is waiting on confirmation of production dates for his next movie, so as much as I'd love him to be there, I'd also love him to be making a new movie You'll know when I do what his plans are.

The festival will open on the Thursday night with a special preview of HAUTE TENSION (SWITCHBLADE ROMANCE) which stars Philippe Nahon (The Butcher from Seul Contre Tous) and on the Friday will screen Gordon's bizarre and wonderful KING OF THE ANTS. We have a bid in for the new Argento, and the classics programme is an eclectic, bizarre, nightmare-inducing selection of your most requested films.

Of course the programme is still a long way from complete, and many more titles will be added over the coming weeks and months. The shorts programme has been a total joy to put together, and there will be many more of them in the programme than ever before.

We are still in negotiations with a couple hotels for preferred rates, so if you need an accommodation list, please bear with us just a week or so longer, and I'll mail the list out when we have it finalised.

And I think that's it for the moment - updates as and when they happen!
