I was pretty certain that #1 would be either the Dead Parrot Sketch or The Germans from Faulty towers. (was close at least, dead parrot came second)
Something must have been up, for Faulty Towers not to get a mention at ALL in the chart. |

the number one sketch,i had never seen it before and i might have slightly smirked when i saw it.all the stuff on big train,the league of gentleman etc is well funnier.i didnt watch it all though so im not sure what sort of programmes were included in it.were there any comedies sticoms at all,or was it all sketch shows?
but yeah fawlty towers is one of the greatesr comedies ever to come out of this country. |

i only saw from about halfway but thinking about it i'm sure absolutely fabulous was in the 20s. thats not strictly a "sketch show" either is it? no parts from fawlty towers were in it at all? if so, thats pretty disgraceful. and aye, the young ones rules.
