Junkster were formed in early 2003 out of a mutual love of The Wildhearts and Green Day. Making it clear from the start they had to share the passion and energy of their heroes. The band line up being: Peesh - Guitar & Vocals. Sav - Lead Guitar Neil - Bass Guitar & Backing Vocals. Mark - Drums.

Serious rehearsing paid off with their first gig being a local Battle of the Bands. They continued to play in and around the North East finishing off with a headlining gig at Head Of Steam Newcastle in December. January 2004 saw the band enter the studio for the first time at CVC Wylam to record demo EP 'Dreaming in England'. Junkster clocked up nearly 50 gigs during the year playing with acts such as The BulBs,Flamin' Eights and The Baby Rattlesnakes to name but a few.

More recordings took place throughout the year, at Oldwell Studios Blaydon.'The Revenge Of The Songs You Think You've Heard Before EP' saw a glowing review in 'The Crack' Magazine. While 'New Era' single and 'Bored & Ignored EP' both gained airplay on BBC Radio Newcastles Northern Uproar Show.

Jan 2005 the 'Adrenalin / Bullet' single was recorded to promote a mini tour of Norway which saw the band play Stavenger, Oslo and Bergen, supporting Scandinavian Metallers 'Skambankt' On returning home, the growing buzz of the band earned them support slots with Punk stalwarts The Vibrators and The UK Subs.

Junkster recorded new single 'Happy Tragedy / Make A Noise' in April 2005 with a pair of slick punk/rock/pop riff sing-a-longs. The 4 track 'Alco-Seltzer' EP quickly followed in May, earning the BAND Of The Month Title on top UK Rock n Roll website FIVE MILES HIGH. Summer 2005 saw Junkster playing their first outdoor gigs, performing at Selefest in Hexham and Gosforth Festival in August.

With new 'Bomb Factory EP' out NOW!!!! Junkster will wrap up a busy year with a mini Tour in December, before heading back into the studio in the New Year to record a brand new Album.
