The Ansion [ann-see-onn] is a solo project from the former guitarist for long time west coast punk band No Escape and the short lived metal band Ninteen Fifty DA. A far cry from the 8 years spent in one of the most promising of Scottish bands - The Ansions debut release was a 10 track album called "Get Down On The Floor And Shut Your Mouth" which was quickly followed with a short limited release of the more electronic and ambient second offering "The Ansion Versus Mothra"
The Ansion's recorded music blends programmed beats and live instrumentation to create a fresh organic feel to digitally made music
Take the influences from the likes of The Album Leaf and Dntel of the recordings, rearrange the songs and then play longer improvised and expanded version of them with a full electric band and you have The Ansion Live
Jon has now signed with Skean Dhu Recordings based in Ohio, USA - expect the official debut release in early 2007
