Inertia Avenue : iSOUND.COM™

INERTIA AVENUE began its journey as a solo home studio project by founding member and principal writer Hammy. It basically strove to write ear-catching tunes that were accessible but not token, within the context of a hard rock sound. It fused many influences from the production values of producers like Devin Townsend, the pop sensibilities of mainstream pop/rock to the the clinical delivery of the progressive metal genre.

Upon completion of the first batch of songs that would evolve into the Inertia Avenue setlist, Hammy hooked up with long-time friend Gary Millar on drums and former Battalion Of Flies bandmate Tony Noble on bass. The trio have began tentative work on reproducing the initial songs in a practice room environment and have since began work on another handful of songs which will undoubtedly see the light of day before too long.

Inertia Avenue is a story and process of spontaneity. Never approaching every aspect of writing from a method of polished finalism, much of the recorded material was based on impulse. Many of the guitar parts were either improvised or written on the spot in the recording process. Many of the lyrics were written on the spot also in recording. The music will continue to be written and recorded on impulse, as often the best musical moments are captured this way. The band are currently looking for a second guitarist to complete the line-up, but will continue to push on the rich vein of creative output being enjoyed at present. We sincerely hope this music reaches as wide an audience as physically possible. Welcome to Inertia Avenue!!
