Just to update you all on the season so far...
Defending champs San Antonia have started very well, with a 15 win - 3 loss run. They look pretty scary, to be honest! Also in the west, the team I support - Phoenix - have started 13w - 4l and are 2nd behind the Spurs in the Western Conference. In the East, the big news is the revival of the Boston Celtics (who were atrocious last year) taking a 14w - 2l start with their new 'big three' of Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Paul Pierce looking almost unbeatable. And sitting behind them are the Orlando Magic, who look very strong also. Big disappointments for me are the #1 draft pick Greg Oden not playing all season and thus the Portland Trailblazers look distinctly average and the fact that the Cleveland Cavaliers seem not to be gelling like I'd hoped - so we aren't seeing as much magic from Lebron James as last year!

im a Magic fan, been pretty up and down the last few years, had a good start so hoping to keep it up over into the New Year as its usually then when they go on 5-8 game losing streaks.

They look better than in a long time at the moment! I reckon they'll be up for one of the top 4 Eastern Conference playoff spots for sure, especially with the Heat doing so badly.

yeah the Heat have dropped off a lot this year, they've had a good few seasons.
Magic dont seem to have strength in depth usually, and when one or two folk gets knocks they tend to get losing streaks, hoping this year they can get a bit more form on the road |

Anyone into this?
The season is looking pretty interesting, with the Celtics totally owning the East and the West being a very, very tight race between the Suns, Lakers, Spurs and Mavs... Best flops are... well... Miami, who are on a 10 game losing streak and are 8 - 28 this season. Ha! Not quite as bad as Minnesota, who are 5 - 32. Eurgh.

It's cos Shaq plays ugly basketball (and he doesnt even play ugly well) and D-Wade is just a bit of an arrogant pillock, right?
