The Glitterati and The Hurricane Party at Studio 24
Glitterati - looked cool as fuck, sounded bland as fuck Hurricane Party - like being in the set for a cheesy rock movie circa 1991 shit bands, cool venue though |

Went to see this in Hong Kong just the other week. There are some pictures here .
I think we saw almost every punk band in Hong Kong that night, which was headlined by a Dutch band Our favourite band of the night was Attention to Piss, whose tunes were as much fun as their name. The Hong Kong kids seemed to have a great time at the gig and were very obediant - when the singer said "clap" they clapped, when he said "jump" they jumped and when he said "run round and round in a circle" that's what they did. They seemed to be playing in some sort of youth club which meant that there was no bar It's always worth checking out a gig or two when on holiday, I've not been dissappointed yet. Ritchie |

Editors were OK. Had their moments, but the majority of the songs sounded too alike for my liking. Nothing new or exciting on offer. |

Saw Editors a few weeks ago in Sleazies and they were hugely disappointing, "Bullets" is a fucking excellent song but the rest of their set was too samey. Really enjoyed the support band We Are Scientists mind you

The Nucleotides!
Subway, Cowgate, Edinburgh, 21/4/5 Brilliant surf rock! Minus the brain tho which was disappointing...And the guitarist was having some problems with his lead which was a shame. But still, they played a good set accompanied by 'Eraserhead' which was rather surreal I danced a bit and drank Stella and swayed. Basically all good stuff! |

Conflict schmon-flict.
I am perfectly aware I'm at odds with everyone except Stuart. Actually that's not right, there was a bunch of people I spoke to after the gig who were of the opinion that if that's as good as Isis get then they aren't that good at all. intro, loud, quiet, loud, quiet, loud, loud, lodu - YAWN. Broadrick fucked them - HHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! p.s Colin, I've seen Jesu twice AND Techno Animal twice as well now - ooohhh! |
